Apollo has designed a new Silver Volt combining fuel cell and lead-cobalt battery technology that is said to have a range of 400 miles with a top speed of 100 mph with 5-minute re-fueling

well I belive this is streching the truth a WHOLE lot to drive a typical small electric car 400 miles would take 100 kw of batteries to charge them in 5 min as the artical says would take a power sub-station to provide the 5400 amps at 240 volts to charge 100,000 watts in 5 min .

The Silver Volt was a vehicle ahead of it time. I was an electrical engineer for Electric Auto Corporation and work in the Bahamas on this program.
